now that things have finally calmed down around here

...she said cautiously, and in an attempt to get into the swing of the season, I will be giving away another pile o' books. Which books, when, how: all that information tomorrow, or maybe the day after. I can tell you a few things:

The pile o' books will contain a few of my novels. It will contain books by other people. And some not-books, too.

There will be some small task to perform to sign up. Don't worry, no costumes will be required, no signing, no writing of poetry. Something simple. Really.

So watch this space.

Who can enter? You can, unless you've already won a pile o' books in the past. If you are one of those people, could you leave a comment to say how those books worked out for you?

I won the pile o' books in September. So far I've read two of them--Tied to the Tracks and Bride of the Wilderness. (Yes, in that order.) Both were wonderful and made my commuting time fly by. I've been meaning to start on Niccolo Rising, but put it off in favor of some light reading during the Thanksgiving holiday. Just finished My Favorite Midlife Crisis (Yet) by Toby Devens. I enjoyed that one too, but it's a different type of book than the ones in the pile o' books.

Debbie -- I'm so glad you liked Bride of the Wilderness. That really is one of my all time favorites, absolutely pitch perfect historical fiction and a great love story.

Niccolo takes some concentration, so it's a good idea not to start it when you really want something light.
