Notice what the conservatives are saying aboug this story. Most simply are saying it isn't true and others say it's justified because the blacks were criminals.

Are these people human?

It depends on how you define human, I suppose. Certainly they are not the kind of human beings I want to have any kind of control or decision making power, nor should they be allowed guns or weapons of any kind.

I just can't get over the image of them firing over the heads of those survivors and waving guns in their faces.

Sara -- thank you for linking to this. I thought I was beyond being shocked.

There is more to this than meets the eye. I have a problem with finger pointing, especially when one view point, several pieces of a view point is offered and pieces of a story are pieced together. My son is in NO, helping out and so are several friends are within the 90,000 sq mile devastated area, i hope to get more of a rounded view point, when they come back home. I can not draw a conclusion on any of this and I do not think, people involved or our leaders will either. Things went badly wrong at all different levels, i just hope all can learn from this and have things changed and in place so something like this never happens again. And i have a problem with stereotyping groups of people, conservatives, liberals etc, they are all different just as people are different, i just can not put a group of people in a group and say that all think, talk, walk and think the same... nor can i take something out of context and say this is how it is, this is much too, complex for that as is life. This was a horrible tragedy that happened and hopefully will never happen again if all can learn from it, what went wrong... meanwhile i will continue to help raise funds to help out in any way i can... this could of happened to any of us... i am just glad that a LOT more people, are helping out and reacting positively than just being negative and finger pointing, thank goodness for the human spirit.
